[microblaze-uclinux] LED handling

I have an LED I need to blink for heartbeat and activity.  I see that 
there is a drivers/leds directory which might have what I need.  I made 
my own hardware specific module by modifying one of the existing files.  
I enabled all the LED related menuconfig options.
It doesn't work.  I see that it calls into platform.c, but my probe 
function never gets called.
Does anyone know the trick to hooking this all up?
