check the following:

Linux Kernel configuration --> Kernel hacking --> Physical address where
UART Lite for early printk is mapped
is the address the pysical address of you UART lite?

Linux Kernel Configuration --> Device Drivers --> Character devices  -->
Serial drivers
[*] Xilinx uartlite serial port support
[*]   Support for console on Xilinx uartlite serial port
