On the off-chance that this is just a
configuration issue; check that you have the proper settings for the serial console.
Configure your kernel to enable both “Xilinx uartlite serial port support
“ and its sub-option “Support for console on Xilinx uartlite serial
port”. You’ll find these in the menu under “Device Drivers –
Character Devices – Serial Drivers”. Apologies if I’m just
