Hi Mak,
try to use u-boot.srec which you got after a successful make and in windows hyperterminal use "send text file". The kermit protocol is used for the loadb command in u-boot for downloading the kernel image. Go to http://developer.petalogix.com/ for the FS-Bootloader and U-Boot documentation.
Hope this helps,
Marco

Subject: [microblaze-uclinux] Spartan 3E500 board
Hi,
I am trying to port the petalinux kernel 2.6 on my spartan 3E500 board.
Currently I am trying with the readymade images that are available in
the petalogix site.
For the project I have installed EDk on my Windows XP machine.
I have created the project in EDK10.1, which has all the peripherals.
I am using Windows HyperTerminal as a console.
When I download my file into the FPGA, I can see some FS boot loader
messages on the console.
After that it asks for the U-Boot image in SREC format. I have provided
the image that I got from the Petalogix.
For downloading the image I m using "Kermit" protocol.
However, I was not yet managed to download the image.
After few retries it just fails.
I tried with different Baud setting for the UART, but it is also not
working.
Am I missing something in the process? Any pointer will be appreciated.
Thanks
Mak
