Why do you use download.bit and elf file. You should use system.bit but this not
solve problem which you have.

I think you use the same partitions which are distributed with this board.

BTW: I worked with ml310 some years ago and I haven't had good experience with
it and I don't have this platform for testing. I remember that I had big
troubles with constrains there.
You can try to translate u-boot for ppc405 design and try if is work there or
not but I am not sure if someone tested on this board.

I tested it on ml505 and everything worked well there. And I tested system ace
driver on ml401 and digilent xupv2p some years ago. If you don't need v2p and
pci and others stuff, please change your devel platform.
