Hi Kris, thanks for your reccomandations.

In fact my board is quite slower than the evaluation one (a simple ftp
demonstrates it).
I think I'll have to double check the hardware project and the kernel
settings to identify the possible cause.

I use different kind of RAM (SDRAM instead of DDR), a different memory
controller and a different phy (but the same ethernet controller).
The interface is working at 100 Mbit.

I'll let you know if I discover something interesting that could be
useful to somebody else.

Now I'm tracing other defects. Hoping that at least one could be
related.
