thank you for the answer.

I can access the uClinux device from
outside the network, some things just go too slow...

By the way, do you know how to compile
ssh in PetaLinux kernel 2.6?? 
It looks like it needs openssl and that
it is not completely available in the distribution.

We dont always have the possibility
to use an intermediate machine, but I guess I can
connect to ssh also from the outside,
right??

Hello Raul,

You have to create port forwarding in the router that the uClinux device
is connected to. Port 80 for web, port 23 for telnet, 22 for ssh, 20+21
for ftp etc.
For safety (like if it's not just for a quick demo) though, I'd 
recommend connecting using ssh to a machine on the local network that 
the uClinux device is connected to and use it's tunnelling features or
you can even install and use ssh directly on the uClinux device.
Putty is a good ssh program for windows. Google for it.
Remember to configure the uClinux device with a default gateway - if 
it's not being configured via DHCP (automatic configuration of IP 
address, default gateways, DNS server etc).
