Hi,

I have just tested it on ml505 uart16550 and latest petalinux svn-head and works well.
Some thing to check:
command line: console=ttyS0,11500

and /etc/inittab
ttyS0:vt100:/bin/agetty 115200 ttyS0

Just create new ref design with uart16550, create new platform and recompile.

I did checking with fs-boot and u-boot at first to see that my cable/terminal works.
