Dr Marius Portmann is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, at The University of Queensland, Brisbane. He currently also leads a project on Wireless Mesh Networks at the Queensland Lab of NICTA, Australia's ICT Research Centre of Excellence (SAFE II Networks Project).

Marius Portmann has an undergraduate degree (1998) and a PhD (2002) in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zürich, Switzerland.
