Excellent work today! We were really pleased with the standard. We will give more a more thorough discussion next week in class, but meantime here is some brief feedback for Design Project. The asterixed works * are the voted in ones. There were several more we would really have liked to include. Presented in no particular order.

* Weather Room: Lovely idea and lots of ways to possibly implement. Look forward to seeing further development
* Calendar Organiser: Lots of ideas and well-thought through. Implementation needs more thought and development. Perhaps streamline some of the ideas and prioritise.
* Graffitti: Very well-thought out project with some very nice ideas. The multiple view points can form an interesting installation aspect.
* Cycling Simulator: Needs more precedent research to look at what is already out there, but a good work none the less. Think about how to turn in the scenery. Research the other works to develop more.
* Lock Down: Develop more and integrate the pprojects but good ideas here. Keep working with them. Demountable structre good and showed you were thinking through the process.
* The Aware Lounge: Documentation, schedule and in-depth discussion missing, but good ideas none-the-less.
* DJ: Good selection of person and locale. Think through how to exhibit the DJ aspect (performer) and the private person/ music training in an installation context. Address single vs multiple audience. Keep developing.
* Smart Shopper: Good investigation and process. Work through ideas in a larger group further.
* Tattoo: well worked and thought out project. Interesting topic and choice of locale. Perhaps include architecture/ overview of the actual environment?
* Balanced Tapwater System: this was the idea we decided this group should develop as the chosen project to be worked on. Water conservation is a key issue, develop a working prototype ready to go to manufacturing stage. Conserve water while it heats up, or not pour until it reaches a certain temperature. Important technology.
* HomeBar: Nice idea, needs further development. Sink etc needs more thought, for example, can that be a disposal shute? Think though other ideas, and discuss with smart shopper group.
Telepresence Digital Photo Frame: Good ideas and research in here. The work operates on two levels, emergency and maintenance. Needs more development but a very pertinent idea to research and develop with the baby boomer generation starting to age.
Documentors: Good work so far. Keep on top of booking system and work out the infrastructure and process early in the piece. Test touch screen and make a decision on interface. Start editing as you go. Cut more than you want to save.
Party Room: Addressed Place vs Space theory and some good discussion and thinking through ideas here.
Mobile Interaction System: Good to see demo and nice ideas here. Need to develop privacy aspect, but some good work here.
A Day in the Life of Someone else: Seems to be an integration of aware and locative projects and focus seems to be more with the chair and technologies. Need to negotiate with the person the format for the presentation.
V-Room, V-Mate,V-Bed: Many ideas and ambitious ones. Needed to work better as team, go into more detail with your ideas and then integrate the ideas better.
Telepresence: Needs an interactive element. Emulates technologies already in existence. Think about how to develop easier solutions.
P.N: Marks are up, we left them as general marks, 4-, or 4, or 4+ = a low, or middle or high pass, 5 = credit, 6 = distinction, 7 = high distinction. We will give the actual grades in the very final mark. If you want actual marks for each assesment, as in say 58% please let us know, feedback welcome, or we can discuss further in class. Happy to go either way, this way leaves more leeway for upping marks in the final assessments. We don't take marks down.
