Portfolio and Documentation of work
Due Date: Exam Week 2 Wednesday 15th November: Weight: 20%
Task Description: The portfolio will contain examples of your individual work from the projects, with reflective comments on your work process within a design context, as well as a reflection on the field and where your own work fits within that broader context. The documentation will also contain the finished documentation from the process of making the work and from the finished work exhibited in week 13.
Deliverables: 1) DVD of completed work and 2) html porftolio of process and reflection.
1) DVD that documents completed work. The documentation needs to be stand alone, with the project needing no further explanation. Cross platform compatible. Target audience is a potential employer.
2) Portolio that reflects your working process as a designing individual working within a team. The recommended format for the portfolio reflection is as a set of html documents fully self-contained with relative links housed in your student portfolio drive. Target audience academic marking team and other teams who may use this work as a resource in the future.
Recommended Headings/ Topics:
+ the project -- introduction, what is it? how does it work? why interested in this? who for? where deployed;
+ the process of making the work, its evolution, discuss design and production decisions, hiccups and break throughs, changes - major and minor along the way;
+ the team process - designated roles, working solutions, distribution of load, time schedule that was proposed and how it actually fell out in the end (look back to the proposal and note the alterations);
+ my contribution - your individual role in the project, how this changed, what you learnt, what changes you would make, your strengths in a team process, what you would do differently knowing now what you know, further direction;
+ reflection on the field of physical computing, what works you find inspiring, some comments generally on what you think about this field-- e.g seems to be team-based, people of different skills sets working together, examples of work you find significant. inspiring, thought-producing, thoughts on the future of the field.

# Abiltiy to reflect on (and the documentation) of the design process undertaken during semester.
# Abiltiy to integrate theories, reading and case study examples into the discussion of the work and on the design process undertaken during semester. Documentation of case study examples and discussions
# Effective use and documentation of the materials covered in skills sessions.
# Documentation of your own research in relation to your project and interest in the contemporary field
# Documentation of project group discussions and feedback.
# Documentation of your own research in relation to your project and interest in the contemporary field
# Documentation and gathering of resources for your project and of the script for choreographing the documenation of the work in action
Submission:
Interim feedback session exam week 1 -- usual class time, there will be a running order to sign up to -- can be on an individual or team/ semi-team basis.
Electronic submission of final portfolio and hand in of CD/ DVD to front office/ teaching team.
