Dr Majewski has taught both undergraduate and post-graduate level courses in microwave and photonics engineering at University of California at Santa Barbara USA, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor USA, Nanjing University of Technology, Nanjing, PRC, RMIT, Melbourne and the University of Queensland. 

His research interests include optical transmission systems design and characterization techniques.  Most recently he worked on distributed feedback lasers (DBRs) modeling and their modulation using microwave signals and intensity modulation distortion.  Since 1988 his research interest also includes Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers for high-speed communications and their applications. 

During 2001 he worked with the Optoelectronic Technology Center at the University of California at Santa Barbara on tunable lasers for DWDM communications and their digital modulation. He collaborated with the OTC at UCSB for the last 11 years and most recently also with the Agility Communications Inc. – a California based optoelectronic company.  He also consulted extensively for communications industry both in Australia and overseas (USA, Singapore, Malaysia).
