The Australian Computer Society will be launching a Safety Critical Systems (SCS) Club on 17 October 2002, in conjunction with the annual SCS workshop being held in Adelaide. The club will foster discussion on the design and development of safety critical systems; as well as debate on more philosophical issues of safety standards (How safe is safe enough?).
For more information about the club, click here.
Guest speaker at the launch is Mr Felix Redmill. Felix is the co-ordinator of the UK SCS Club and has edited numerous books on system safety and safety-critical systems.
Refreshments will be provided. Please register your interest by completing and returning the workshop registration form. (It is not necessary to register for the workshop to come to the Club launch.)
Chapter launches will also be held in Perth on 10 October and Melbourne on 21 October: click here for more details.
