7th Australian Workshop on Safety Critical Systems and Software

and launch of the Australian Safety Critical Systems Club

Adelaide, 17-18 October 2002

Sponsored by the ACS's Technical Committee on Safety Critical Systems.

The Australian Computer Society's Technical Committee on Safety Critical Systems (SCS) 7th National Workshop on Safety Critical Systems and Software was held in Adelaide over 1.5 days and attracted over 70 participants.

This year's workshop featured keynote addresses by international software safety experts Professor John McDermid (University of York, UK), Dr John Rushby (SRI International, USA), and Felix Redmill (Convener of the UK SCS Club). The international speaker program was partially funded by the Department of Education, Science and Training's Frontiers of S&T Missions and Workshops component of the Innovation Access Program administered by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE).

The workshop included the launch of the Australian Safety Critical Systems Club.
