Academic Adviser's Apprentice
Contributors:
Prof Paul Bailes, various 4th year students and interns over the years
Overview:
Academic advising i.e. development of study plans that lead to the award of a degree in minimum time and maximum choice of material of interest to students is a potentially high-risk exercise. Further challenges are posed in the case of students who wish to transfer with credit for previous study at other institutions. The purpose of this project is to provide machine assistance with study plan development, for both "native" and credit-transfer students.
