The position is funded by an Australian Research Council Linkage grant for the project ‘Investigation of key factors affecting the polarisation based diagnostics of power transformers’. Industry partners are Powerlink Queensland, Energy Australia NSW and the Connell Wagner Advanced Technology Centre. The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field with particular skills in the theory of dielectric physics application to condition assessment of electrical insulation, or postdoctoral research in this area. Experience with software design (in C or MatLab environment) will be an advantage. This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for three years at Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Academic Level A06 to A08) level.
