I guess I first became interested in the technology side of things when as I child I was left in a baby hamper in a large clearance warehouse for cheap korean electronic products. I was raised by a caring handheld space invaders console that would encourage me to fulfill my ambitions with praise of 'high score' in a robotic voice, and lull me to sleep with it's soothing 'blip.... blip..... blip.... bareeeedle'. I lived on the pizza crusts and coke dregs that the nerds left behind, and over time developed a vocabulary that is a strange fusion between australian, bytecode and nerdspeak, to the point where I feel that I can only really connect with electronic gadgets, preferably over bluetooth.
I completed a degree in Computer Engineering at the end of 2001, and began work on my PhD during March 2002. Still currently under the same generalistic working title "An Empirically Derived Experimentally Validated Framework for Interactions in Information Environments", I hope to more closely define my research topic by late January 2003. Possible theme/title: "User-centred design of gestural computer interaction in medical environments." I am a gadget freak which I hope will help the design and interaction orientated sections of the project.
I like FoosBall and can't help but admire Brett for all the lessons that he's given me.
The one thing I like about Wikis is the way people edit them for you. For example, if I was to write Ben McGarry is a little bitch, I'm sure it'll change in time to Ben McGarry is god.
God: You are going to die for that.
