Abstract:I will be presenting a review of the 7th International Conference on the
Evolution of Language (Evolang7), held in Barcelona, Spain from 11-15 March.
A summary of themajor new results presented at the conference will be given.
The themes of the conference included a review of the past forty years of
ape communication, gesture in apes and humans, sign language, computational
models of language, and human models of language evolution.
