The International Workshop on Video Database and Retrieval, in conjunction with the DASFAA 2008 Conference, aims to provide a forum on the marriage of video database and video retrieval among database and information retrieval researchers, developers and users from academia, business and industry. It encourages new theories and technologies in merging and integrating both research streams: video databases and video retrieval.  

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Paper Submission:

            Authors should submit papers reporting original works that are currently not under review or published elsewhere. The paper should be submitted to Dr Heng Tao SHEN via email at shenht@itee.uq.edu.au  in PDF format, with maximum length fifteen (15) pages, following Springer-Verlag's LNCS manuscript submission guidelines, available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.

Proceedings:

The conference proceedings will be published as part of Springer Verlag's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.
