 Compilation Techniques for Embedded Systems

Compilation Techniques for Embedded Systems

Speaker: Bernhard Scholz

When: 10:00, Friday, 27 April 2007

Venue: 78-420

With the broadening field of applications for embedded systems, software costs become an issue. Therefore, the shift from assembly language to high-level languages is indispensable. Standard compilation techniques fail to pursue different compilation objectives for embedded systems. To overcome or at least alleviate the problem, new compilation techniques for Embedded Systems are ermerging. This talk will give a brief overview of novel compilation techniques for Embedded Systems, that are able to cope with idiosyncratic architectures, small code-size footprints, fast-code requirements, and power-consumption issues.
