Life in the trenches: Small-team development in Brisbane |
Speaker: Nathan Keynes
When: 15:00, Thursday 1st May 2008
Venue: 78-420
This seminar presents a few interesting projects that I've been involved with at Virgin Blue and CSIRO in the Brisbane area, along with some useful software engineering lessons learned from each, and the key factors that contributed to the success (or otherwise) of the project.
Bio: Nathan graduated in 2000 from UQ in Information Technology, with his honours work in the field of language processing, followed by a 6- month intership with Sun Microsystems Laboratories. After 6 years as a professional software developer/engineer, he is now working with Sun Labs Down Under on the Parfait bug-checking project. His primary research interests are in the fields of programming language design and implementation, and binary translation/emulation.
