Call For Papers
Wireless networks are transforming the way we access information and communicate seamlessly. Mobile users are now becoming free to move as they access computing and communication resources via these advanced wireless networks There is an urgent need to make these rapidly evolving wireless networks more adaptive and autonomous by employing intelligent and context-aware algorithms. This workshop will focus on the recent developments in the field of Intelligence, Context-awareness and Autonomy in Wireless Networks and protocols. The Workshop will have a special focus on wireless mesh and ad hoc networks. Wireless Mesh Networks comprise of mobile clients and mostly static routers connected wirelessly, where two far away nodes communicate by requesting a number of intermediate nodes to relay their information in order to reach the destination. Wireless multi-hop networking was originally developed for military applications, but is now experiencing rapid growth in many other applications as evident from high interest in research publications, standardisation efforts and commercial product offerings.
The workshop scope (but not limited to) is as follows:
Adaptive transport protocols for Wireless Networks
Intelligent routing for Wireless Networks (Mesh, MANET etc.)
Support for Quality of Service (QoS) in Wireless Networks
Dynamic Gateway Selection in Wireless Networks
Supporting Multiple Radio-interfaces
Context-awareness in Wireless Networks
Self-organization and self-configuration in Wireless Networks
Mobility management
Gateway Load Balancing
Cross-layer optimization
We are seeking papers that describe original unpublished contributions, not under review elsewhere, to address various aspects of Wireless Mesh and Ad hoc Networks such as QoS, Routing, Transport and Mobility Management which are adaptive, use intelligent algorithms, context awareness and/or are autonomous. Each paper will undergo three peer reviews.
Proceedings of the
workshop will be published in IEEE Explore and selected
high-quality papers after revision and extension will be
published in the International Journal of Autonomous and
Adaptive Communications (IJAACS). ICA IN WIRELESS 2009 is
being held in Brisbane, Australia. The format of the
workshop will be single-track of oral presentations. Each
paper will undergo 3 peer reviews.
