Abstract:
The Seminar will begin with an introduction describing the High Frequency Electronics Group at Queens University Belfast, some of the research we carry out and our facilities. Then, some of the Self Steering Antenna Research will be described in more detail. This will include some of our mm-wave retrodirective antennas operating at 65 GHz and our new novel PLL phase conjugating retrodirective arrays.
Biography:
Neil B. Buchanan received a B.Eng Hons degree from the Queens University of Belfast in 1993. In July 2000 he graduated with a PhD entitled “Phase Locked Millimetre Wave HEMT Oscillators” from the Queens University of Belfast and is currently employed as a Senior Engineer within the High Frequency Electronics Group at that university. His research interests include mm-wave MMIC design, mm-wave oscillators and self steered antenna arrays.
